Car Rental Saint-Martin
Progressive Car Rental is your car rental agency in Saint-Martin, in the French Caribbean. Whether you're travelling for a holiday or for business, our recent fleet and close, local service guarantee a simple, fast rental with no bad surprises, anywhere on the island, French side or Dutch side.
The ideal car for your next trip
An easy-to-park city car for exploring Marigot and Grand Case, an SUV or 4x4 to handle the hillier backroads, a spacious MPV for travelling with family or friends: our fleet is designed to fit every kind of stay. Every vehicle is regularly serviced and handed over clean, with a full tank, so you can hit the road as soon as you land at the airport or step into our agency.
Why rent with Progressive Car Rental
Unlike large international chains, we know every corner of the island and tailor our advice to your actual itinerary. Our rates are transparent, with no hidden fees on drop-off, third-party insurance is included with every rental (the damage waiver stays optional), and our team stays reachable around the clock if you need anything. Booking takes just a few minutes online, and an advisor confirms availability by email.
Driving in Saint-Martin: what to know
You drive on the right, just like in France, and a national licence held for more than a year is enough for the length of a tourist stay. Roads are generally in good condition but stay narrow and hilly in some areas, with frequent speed bumps near villages. Speed limits are usually 40 to 60 km/h off the main roads, and it's worth taking extra care after dark, since street lighting is limited outside town centres.
Picking up your vehicle
Our agency is based at Grand Case-Espérance Airport (SFG), where every rental starts and ends. Landing at Princess Juliana Airport (SXM) or staying elsewhere on the island? We can deliver the vehicle directly to you on request, so you don't have to go out of your way as soon as you land.
