Privacy Policy

This policy explains how your personal data is processed when you useprogressivecarrental.com, in particular when you fill in the booking form. It is drawn up in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.

2. Data we collect

Through the booking form:

• Identity: first name, last name, date of birth;
• Contact details: email address, phone number, postal address, postal code, city, country of residence;
• Trip details: pickup and return dates and locations, chosen vehicle and options, delivery address where applicable, flight number and any free-text notes you provide;
• Preferred payment method (cash or card, settled on site);
• Any consent to receive our offers and news.

Technical data: the host generates connection logs (IP address, timestamp, pages viewed) for security and to keep the site running.

The site uses no advertising cookies and no analytics tools. Local storage (localStorage) only keeps, on your own device, the dates and pickup location you selected, to pre-fill the form; this information is not shared with any third party and can be removed by clearing your browser's site data.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Handling and following up your booking request for a vehicle rental (contact, availability check, confirmation, contract preparation) — legal basis: performance of pre-contractual measures and of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Responding to your enquiries sent by email or phone — legal basis: the controller's legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Sending you our offers and news, only if you ticked the relevant box — legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
• Keeping the site secure and meeting our accounting and legal obligations — legal basis: legal obligation and legitimate interest.

4. Recipients

• Authorised staff of Progressive Car Rental, to handle your booking;
• Netlify, Inc. — website hosting and the serverless function that forwards the form;
• Resend (Plush, Inc.) — transactional email service (acknowledgement of your request, internal notification to the agency).

These providers act as processors, on our instructions and under a data-processing agreement. Your data is never sold, rented or transferred to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

As Netlify and Resend are established in the United States, hosting and email delivery may involve a transfer of data outside the European Union. Such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards under the GDPR (European Commission standard contractual clauses and/or participation in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).

6. Retention

Booking and contact data is kept for 3 years from your last contact with us, unless a legal obligation requires longer retention (in particular accounting and contract records: up to 10 years) or retention is needed for a dispute. Newsletter data is kept until you withdraw your consent.

7. Security

The site is served entirely over HTTPS. Form data is transmitted, encrypted, to a serverless function that does not store it persistently and only generates the emails. Access to the agency's inboxes is restricted to authorised staff.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase,restrict and object to the processing of your data, and the right to data portability, to withdraw your consent at any time, and to set instructions about what happens to your data after your death.

Exercise these rights by email atcontact@progressivecarrental.com. Proof of identity may be requested in the event of reasonable doubt. We respond within one month.

If you consider that the processing of your data does not comply with the rules, you may lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL — 3 Place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07 —www.cnil.fr.
